This is has all the drawbacks of the Base 6, with the addition of a second drawbridge alongside the historic Montlake Bridge. This option requires taking out homes, forever giving Montlake Blvd. (a vital part of the historic Olmsted Boulevard system) over to cars, and compromising the historic integrity of the landmark Montlake Bridge. It also doesn't solve the speed and reliability problem to the UW, Sound Transit and NE Seattle. The bridges still go up, causing mayhem, and it's possible for the resulting traffic queues not to clear until after the peak period is over.
