Pacific Interchange allows a continuous greenbelt where the Montlake interchange stands today, unifying the Montlake Playfield with the new lid, the meadow south of Hamlin Street, McCurdy Park and East Montlake Park. The structure in the Arboretum will be much, much smaller than this as the WSDOT team has figured out how to shrink this by 200 feet since this rendering was done. And by adjusting shoulders, it can get tighter still.
